Joint Council Meeting
Hannah and I went to a Joint Senoir Council meeting on Tuesday 10th June 2008. We went and presented our projects that we have designed. I was representing the Moyne Shire youth councillors from the Hawkesdale/Eumerella Riding (H/E). Hannah on the other hand was representing the Hawkesdale Environment Leaders Program (HELP). I am or the H/E riding councillors are doing a ‘FUNKY ROTUNDA’ and while HELP is doind a walking track situated in ‘The Common’ at Hawkesdale. We are going to combine both projects as us councillors are also a part of the HELP group. There are 2 other councillors and 8 people in the HELP group.
We recently went on a leadership camp in Port Fairy and then in Halls Gap. In Port Fairy we listened to a man from Melbourne who is a part of a group called ‘The Push’. He helped us with our projects. On Friday we went to Halls Gap and we went rock climbing and abseiling. It was so much fun but so scary too. If you geth the chance to rock climb or abseil them go for it no matter how scary because the reward afterwards feels so good!! You will regret if you don’t!

Congratulations on the project you are involved in. It will be great to see the final proposals. I remember abseiling in the Grampians and it was so beautiful there. You are right we need to push the boundaries to gain confidence and a sense of well being.
