Holidays, Camp, Birthday…
Tomorrow will be the first day back at school for Term 3. The holidays have gone extremely quickly. I had a great time with the first few days working at the Warrnambool Fun 4 Kids Festival. I volunteered at the festival for the first time last year and enjoyed it so I volunteered once again. I worked a couple of days in the paint and decorate workshop where the kids painted their woodwork they made. I also worked in the science area where they made ice-cream, played with slime, made shadow puppets and electric circuits. The kids always have lots of fun and hopefully so do the parents.
I went to Melbourne to see my cousins after working at Fun4 Kids. We took our 5 and 7 yr old cousins to Ice Age 3 – Dawn of the dinosaurs and it was great. I absolutely loved it as it is such light entertainment and makes me laugh lots. Then the next day my brother, sister and I went to watch transformers 2 – Revenge of the fallen. This was better than the first one and the emotions are definitely higher. I nearly cried during the movie.
The rest of the holidays was spent resting and watching movies. Now as the holidays finish I’m heading off to camp. I’m going to Rubicon which is a snow camp. It will be great fun as I’ve never been to the snow before. We leave on Monday and return on Friday. Friday is a big day for me as it will be my 16th birthday. I’m looking forward to camp but not my birthday as much because 16 is a big number. I will be able to go for my Learners (drivers license) and that’s scary.
Anyway that’s my life at the moment. I hope everyone else is having an enjoyable life and wish them the very best with their adventures.
